In the world of combat sports, Jake Paul has garnered gigantic attention in recent times. The YouTuber-turned-boxer, who is 3-0 in his pro boxing career with three knockouts, has been on the limelight for many of his in-ring antics as well as out-ring histrionics.
The 24-year-old is soaring high on confidence after knocking out multi-promotion mixed martial artist Ben Askren on 17th April, delivering a 1st round TKO at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
However, the majority times Jake Paul has made headlines, are for the verbal clashes he has had with other figures in the combat sports fraternity. Most recently, Jake went against Floyd Mayweather, who is fighting Logan Paul in an exhibition match on 6th June.

While many would still not consider Jake as a proper combat sports individual, the 24-year-old, as well as his brother, have garnered appreciation from many big names at the same time, even including Mike Tyson who recently claimed that the Paul siblings “make boxing so awesome.”
If that is not enough of a charisma boost for Jake, he now has the backing of Khabib Nurgamomedov’s manager Ali Abdelaziz, who believes Jake will completely overpower Conor McGregor in a match.
Way before Jake was involved in vocal feuds against Mayweather or Askren, his target used to be landing a fight against MMA icon Conor, but without any response from the former double champion, no progress had been made.
While Jake recently received the heat from Tyron Woodley, there is no update so far on who the “Problem Child” will square off up next this year. In the meantime, Abdelaziz steps into the scene and brings forth the option of Conor and appreciated Jake for going against the Irishman’s wife during his social media banters in the past.
“Jake Paul, I like this kid. You know why? Because he is real. When he talked about Conor’s wife, [Paul] said [McGregor] talked about Khabib’s wife. I like Jake Paul,” Abdelaziz said in a recent interview with TMZ Sports.
Abdelaziz referred to the time Jake called Conor and ‘Irish c***’ as well as insulted his fiancee Dee Devlin, and as he and Khabib himself were bitter rivals to the “Notorious”, seeing Jake on the same boat has made Abdelaziz appreciate him even more.
“I think he’ll beat the sh!t out of Conor, Conor’s team-mates, all these guys. I like his brother too. Logan Paul, I like these kids, they make something from nothing. Even Mike Tyson likes these kids. Mike is my friend,” the 43-year-old added.
