With the blessing of technology, the hobby of PC gaming has surged astronomically in the last decade. Be it an entry level machine on a budget, or a costly high end one with the top of the line components, the love for a gaming PC ranges from young to old alike. However, what you’re about to read is probably the most bizarre instance of a PC gaming enthusiasm, a man has spent more than $8000 to build a brand new machine, and the money came from his upcoming wedding and honeymoon fund!
Woman narrates how her betrothed has churned out $8000 on a gaming PC
The incident went viral after last week, Reddit user ThrowRA-rowaway took to the relationship_advice subreddit to share the story about her fiancé.
“My fiancé (25M) spent our entire savings (which we both were saving for our wedding and honeymoon) to buy a gaming pc. What’s worse is that ever since he got the pc, he has totally ignored me (27F) he has absolutely forgotten that I even exist in his life,” the woman wrote on Reddit.
She further shared that past their engagement in December, the couple were saving up for their wedding and honeymoon. However, after her partner’s best friend bought a new gaming PC, the man wanted one for himself, and churned out all of the $8000 for his new machine, a gaming chair and table within a week.
“We had a very big argument that night,” the woman went on, “and I scolded him for spending all our savings because that savings contained not only his money but my money as well. And we were saving it for our wedding.”
“After everything I told him, his final reply was “I will earn it all back soon”. I don’t trust those words at all”, she lamented.
The woman further continued saying that the man has stopped doing household duties, is glued to his PC and is gaming all day, without even taking a bath, and has also started ignoring his betrothed.
“I honestly don’t know what else to do now. I want to burn that pc. It would be very nice if someone suggested me something about this,” the lady concluded.
