Floyd Mayweather Jr and Gervonta Davis were seen together on the undercard of David Benavidez vs. Caleb Plant in Las Vegas last weekend, and appear to have made amends again after weeks of rumors and controversy.

Images of Mayweather and Gervonta greeting each other were circulating all over social media platforms and in fact, after the Benavidez-Plant fight ended there were more fights, and with the arena already semi-empty, “Money” and “Tank” sat down together to watch the remaining fights.

The controversy between Floyd Mayweather and Gervonta Davis seems to be behind them

When asked about his reunion with Floyd Mayweather, Gervonta Davis revealed that there is no bad feeling.

“Much love to Mayweather Promotions, Leonard Ellerbe, Floyd Mayweather, all of them,” Gervonta told reporters during the Benavidez vs. Plant fight, “I definitely appreciate them, I’m just doing my own thing now. I’m not saying we can’t work together on something in the future, but right now I’m trying to put my own pants on.”

Recently, controversy arose over a tweet that Gervonta posted and then deleted, in which he claimed that Floyd had banned him from training at his Las Vegas gym after Gervonta had left Mayweather Promotions.

On Sunday, Mayweather posted an Instagram post with several photos of him walking with Gervonta Davis during Saturday’s fight. It seems like a message from Floyd to the boxing fandom that everything is fine with Gervonta, who had been his protégé since he was a prospect.
