Former NXT Champion Finn Bálor has announced the date and time for his return to the black and gold brand.
FINN BÁLOR HAS NOT BEEN SEEN SINCE LOSING THE NXT CHAMPIONSHIP TO KARRION KROSS
At TakeOver XXX on August 22, 2020, Karrion Kross won the NXT Championship, however, during the match, he suffered a legitimate shoulder injury, requiring him to relinquish the title. Bálor then won the vacant championship at Super Tuesday II. Kross then made his return from injury in December. Following Bálor’s title defense on the March 10, 2021 episode of NXT, he was finally confronted by Kross over the championship. He was subsequently scheduled to defend the NXT Championship against Kross at TakeOver: Stand & Deliver, which was scheduled as the main event of Night 2.
The match itself began with a test of strength. The Champion dominated much of the match with Kross kicking out of Coup de Grace. He later gave Kross a double stomp and also locked in a modified Koji Clutch. Kross managed to escape the submission and then hit his opponent with a Saito Suplex followed by two Northern Forearms for the pinfall win to become the new NXT Champion. Since then the former Champion has not been seen in the NXT ring.
During his second reign, the NXT World Championship was formally accepted as a World Championship by WWE, instead of its stature as a developmental Championship, when it was revealed that the NXT Championship was an option for the men’s Royal Rumble match winner to challenge for at WrestleMania 37, along with the WWE Championship and Universal Championship.
HE PROVIDED AN UPDATE
Recently, He provided an update on Twitter, wherein he reasoned his absence as due to a vacation undertaken by the former WWE Universal Champion and his wife Vera Rodriguez. The vacation to Mexico has seemingly recharged and refreshed him and he is up for more challenges at WWE NXT.

Next Tuesday, Finn is back,” he tweeted, updating the fans that he will be back next Tuesday Night.
After his return, The Prince may plan a NXT Championship rematch against Karrion Kross, or may move onto other rivalries. According to Vic Joseph, he will address the audience and announce his next move on NXT.
