Ghana managed to pull off a 3-2 triumph over South Korea in the Group H tie in the ongoing FIFA World Cup at the Education City Stadium in Qatar.
Ghana holds onto the lead desperately against South Korea
In the first half, Mohammed Salisu had opened the scoring. A truly exquisite cross from the left by Jordan Ayew put it on the plant for Mohammed Kudus to head in. Mohammed Kudus had then doubled the lead for Ghana, making it 2-0 in the first half.
The Koreans struck two quick goals around the hour mark to pull themselves level 2-2. Kang-In Lee served a beautiful pass from the left flank before Gue-Sung Cho put a beautiful header into the back of the net. Jin-Su Kim lofted the ball into the six-yard box and Gue-Sung put it into the back of the net to secure a brace.
However, Mohammed Kudus struck for the second time to help Ghana re-establish their lead with a second-half strike and latched onto it until the final whistle.
