FIFA 21 cover art gets hilariously trolled by Twitter!

FIFA 21 is the latest entry into the popular FIFA franchise by Electronic Arts, and like every other year, the devs at EA Sports have released the official cover art for the game. This year, Paris Saint Germain talisman Kylian Mbappé is the cover athlete, replacing Real Madrid icon Eden Hazard from last year.

The official trailer for FIFA 21 is scheduled to drop on 23rd July, and the covers for all three editions of the game, featuring the Frenchman was revealed on the official Twitter handle of EA SPORTS FIFA.

The 2018 World Cup winner himself tweeted following the reveal, a ‘dream come true’ for the 21 year old forward.

However, the cover art of FIFA 21’s standard and ‘Champions’ editions are quite different from the previous entries into the franchise. This year, the cover art are basically collages of Mbappé’s pictures on a white background, and the FIFA fandom hasn’t received the design very well.

Twitterati went all out on Twitter to criticise EA for their lack of effort to make an eye catching cover, and the fans of the franchise quickly jumped on with their hilarious reactions to the design. Below here are some of the funniest tweets-

FIFA 21 is scheduled to be released on 9th October 2020 on Microsoft Windows, PS4, Xbox One as well as Nintendo Switch and the Xbox Series X.
