Ferrari faced challenges during Formula 1 comeback at Shangai. The lack of speed from the Scuderia was unexpected, especially given their historical dominance in Formula 1. Charles Leclerc finished fourth, but he was significantly slower than Sergio Perez and Lando Norris, who were driving for other teams. Ferrari’s focus may not be solely on speed, but their performance in China left fans and drivers puzzled.

Recently, ‘Junaid#JB17’ made things clear with his poster on X. he emphasized the struggles with Hadr tyre for the team which was earlier highlighted by Charles Leclerc after the race. The tweet read:

“Ferrari hoped for its good racing speed at the Chinese GP and was surprised that the trump card didn’t work against McLaren. The reason was probably too much caution. The hard tires did not provide the necessary grip.”

Charles Leclerc and Ferrari faced an unexpected challenge during the Chinese Grand Prix: their lack of pace on the hard compound tires. What was initially thought to be a straightforward tire strategy turned into a puzzle for the team. Leclerc’s fourth-place finish was a testament to his skill, but the surprise lack of pace left everyone scratching their heads.

He said, “However, we didn’t drive on the hard [during the weekend] until now and once we put the hard on we were slower than what we expected, so that was a big surprise. Especially McLaren were very, very strong on the hard.

“Having said that, I think we have also been put on the backfoot with the Safety Car, because that put us in the same strategy as everybody and until that moment I was doing a really, really good job with the tyres, and I was very confident that we could do a great race. After that it was much more difficult.”
