During the podcast, Dr. Luther discussed that Terry Taylor, former WWE wrestler had approached him to pen down a three-year contract with WCW.

The contract stated that he would be paid $130,000 in the first year, $210,000 in the second year and it would be increased in the third year.

Dr. Luther said, “Then talking about the deal, which sounded really awesome. It was three years for I want to say 130 then to 210 and then 3 something. It was crazy. It was awesome money, but WCW’s throwing money around big time, and I was just like, holy s**t. That’s a game-changer, even to this day standards. And so I was like awesome.”

Dr. Luther lived in Canada and he did not have a work visa. WCW told him that they could not provide a work visa to the wrestler, as they were getting sold in the future.

But, when the company got to know about his girlfriend being an American, they insisted the wrestler to marry. The wrestler did not agree to the terms as he parted ways with the negotiations. The 51-year-old recalled that if he had the work visa he would have signed with the promotion.

“Then he said, ‘well, we’ll tell you something we’re not really telling people, but we’re not signing people we have to get permits for because we’re actually selling.’ So I knew they were selling to WWE before because he just basically told me that. So if I were to have my American Visa at the time, then I would have got signed.”

Dr. Luther worked in WCW when he faced Vampiro in the last WCW Worldwide. He remembered having a brief encounter before their match in Kelowna. Both the stars performed in a Japanese promotion, WAR.
