Devin Haney thinks going for Gervonta Davis will be a safe bet in the fight against Ryan Garcia. He believes that Davis will easily get over it and that he will prove his absolute superiority.

Gervonta Davis vs. Ryan Garcia, set to take place on April 22nd in Las Vegas, Nevada has become one of the most awaited fights of the year- between two superstars of the sport who have grown to be grudge rivals in recent times.

Speaking to Fight Hub TV, the reigning undisputed champion at 135 Haney gave his two cents on how the upcoming confrontation between Davis and Garcia might play out.

“I think it’s going to be a good fight,” said Haney. “Ryan has height, reach, and speed, but Tank has that great power. That power is neutralizing. (Gervonta) has experience, because he’s already been put to the test.”

Devin Haney believes Davis has the upper hand but cannot rule Garcia out

“The Dream” is confident that Tank will be the one with his arm outstretched at the end of the fight, but he does not detract from the multiple skills that led “KingRy” to the place where he is.

“Going with Tank would be a safe bet, but you can’t rule Ryan out,” Haney argued. “He’s got speed, he’s got punch, and I don’t think he’s scared. He (Ryan) is coming to win.”

Devin Haney sees Gervonta Davis as a great boxer, but he doesn’t believe him to be an invincible man, and the same goes for Ryan Garcia. He opines that both have flaws in their strategy that can be detrimental in the ring.

“I saw Tank lose rounds and win the fight, as well as I saw Garcia get up off the canvas to win by knockout, but we haven’t seen what Ryan can do against a puncher,” Haney said.

Haney would love to fight the winner of the Davis-Garcia matchup, but he finds himself with all of his concentration on Vasyl Lomachenko, whom he will cross on May 20.

“I want to fight whoever wins that fight, but I have to start with Loma,” Haney concluded. “When I’m victorious, I’ll see.”
