After the recent 30-22 loss against the Los Angeles Rams, Dennis Allen‘s New Orleans Saints sit second in the NFC South division with 7 wins and 8 losses. The Saints are currently in a tight position. This game was supposed to be crucial for the Saints to win the division and qualify for the playoffs. However, this loss leaves the Saints hanging. With just 2 more games in hand, the Buccaneers, whom they face next thwart their qualification. Unfortunately, this seems like another worry. Dennis Allen’s Saints have a record of 1-13 against sides with a Pct of 0.500 or more, and the Buccaneers are certainly in this category.

Allen’s NFL career record now stands at 22-46 and he stands at 152nd out of 156 coaches with at least 68 games. It has been a bumpy ride for Allen at the helm of Saints, with a record of 14-18. Fans and experts alike have questioned his tactics and ability to improve players. In the most important game of the season, Allen seemed to make several questionable calls regarding the course of the game. Fans are especially critical of the fact that Allen called for an onside kick when there were 4 minutes left, even though they are poor at onside kicks with a success record of 1 out of 32 till now.

Allen has faced a lot of backlash for his lack of proper decision-making during the match against the Rams. Fans and experts have been vocal over the sacking of Allen and took to social media to express their concerns over the future of the club. Fans have dubbed Allen as the worst coach in the history of the NFL. A group of fans have taken to the street, with a #FireDennisAllen poster. The aftermath of the loss has been huge.

The opinions are mostly towards the sacking of head coach Allen but it has extended to the sacking of offense coach Pete Carmichael and Derek Carr as well. Carmichael has been blamed for the lack of proper planning and adjustments to involve Alvin Kamara. Derek Carr has been criticized for his inability to show up for his price tag. There have been shouts to cut him off the team.

The fans are furious over Dennis Allen and are hopeful of news that mentions the end of Allen’s tenure. The entire coaching staff to be replaced is the opinion of many fans. The future of Allen depends on the 2nd last game of the season against the Buccaneers on 30th December. Nonetheless, it is expected the New Year will bring some concrete details for the fans and experts regarding the management of the New Orleans Saints.
