Former WWE Champion and recent SmackDown Live exile Daniel Bryan has revealed one of his favourite matches in WWE.

Daniel Bryan

DANIEL BRYAN HAS ALWAYS BEEN KNOWN FOR PROVIDING INSTANT CLASSICS

Bryan was already known for excellent professional wrestling matches before his career in WWE. Especially in Ring Of Honor (ROH), he wowed audiences in physical, high intensity matches against such performers as Chris Hero, Takeshi Morishima, CM Punk and Nigel McGuinness.

After arriving at WWE, fans feared that the company would soften his in-ring style to fit the company’s glove. The fear was not totally illogical, and WWE did tone ring Bryan’s in-ring style quite a bit. But he still managed to constantly provide great matches in his WWE career. Even when he came back from retirement, he provided great matches against the likes of AJ Styles, Brock Lesnar and most recently, Roman Reigns.

THE CLIMAX OF KOFIMANIA IS A FAVOURITE TO HIM

It seems that “The Leader Of The Yes Movement” has a special place in his heart for one of such classics.

Appearing on My Mom’s Basement, The recent SmackDown exile noted to Robbie Fox that his match against Kofi Kingston at WrestleMania 35, which worked as the climax for their rivalry, had a special place in his heart. Interestingly, the storyline included Kingston treading a similar path to his opponent’s famous “Yes Movement” storyline which led him to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship victory at WrestleMania 33.

Bryan also joked that it was fortunate for him to be the loser of the match, and it that way he did not have to wake up early in the next morning to do media duties as the champion. He, of course, had to so do in the aftermath of WrestleMania 33.

“My favorite match in my WWE career is my match with Kofi at WrestleMania. It’s so special and such a cool moment. One of the things that I love is it’s Kofi winning at the end. WrestleMania 30, my shoulder is horrible, I hurt my neck, I have this horrible pain down my arm and I have to get up and do media the next morning,” Bryan said.

Where the veteran superstar will go next is the matter of debate amongst fans. Raw is a viable option, although fans clearly want him to join NXT.
