Conor McGregor issues latest response to heated conversation with Petr Yan over boxing

It doesn’t matter if there’s a fight coming his way or not, MMA’s exalted Conor McGregor is never shy away from getting personal against his fellow fighters, and his most recent fiery exchange has involved reigning interim UFC Bantamweight Champion Petr Yan. The two have gone back and forth on Twitter and the feud started from nothing other than a list of ‘Best boxers in the UFC’ created by @Ezrawpodcast. The list features the top five sparring artists in the mixed martial arts top drawer, as per the user Ez RAW himself.

Conor McGregor vs Petry Yan boxing match? The ‘Notorious’ is eager to be the host

Seeing himself placed behind both the number one ranked Petr Yan and Max Holloway in number two, Conor McGregor did not receive the list in a good light and came up with a reply, pointing out how the Irishman, who has shared the squred circle with Floyd Mayweather, outboxed three out of the four other, including Jose Aldo and Nate Diaz, in the list.

“I outboxed 3 guys on this list! There’s no one even remotely close to my boxing in the UFC. Even Dustin only got shots off post the leg damage. Everyone has been pucked around by me if we are going off boxing. Yan is good tho, I like his style. I’d rip him up in that shell tho,” Conor’s initial tweet read.

On seeing Conor’s comment on Yan, the Russian hit back at the ‘Notoroious, asking him to get to the point and even though he doesn’t care about being in Bantamweight while Conor is currently a lightweight, Yan doubted that the former double-champ would even show up for a fight.

“Conor, we all know that you like to talk, but let’s get straight to the point if you really want to box or to fight, I don’t care about the weight or the ruleset. I bet you won’t show up,” said Yan.

Up next, Conor claimed that he is ready to host Yan’s team in his home country of Ireland for any of his shows at Crumlin boxing club, and even tagged international sports betting company Parimatch to get things in motion.

“Lol, no prob littler. We will set up a spar or something similar in the near future. Will host you and your team in Ireland for one of our shows at Crumlin boxing club. We will figure it out then, kid. God bless ya. @ParimatchGlobal , get this set.”
