The counting process for the US Presidential Election is now underway, and amongst support and criticism for both Joe Biden and incumbent Donald Trump, ‘Le Champion’ Chris Jericho has been involved in some political nitpicking on Twitter.

JERICHO COMMENTS THAT HE IS NOT A POLITICAL PERSON

The votes of the election are still in the counting process, and it seems that Jericho does not see it as fair. Saying that he is not a political person, Y2J comments that it is the first time people have to wait this long to know the results of the Presidential Election.

“Im not a political person, but is it strange to anybody else, that for the first time ever, we have to wait a day…2 days…5 days…10 days…to find out who won the the presidential race?”

TWITTERATI NOTED JERICHO’S DONATION TO THE TRUMP CAMPAIGN

Twitterati did not take Jericho’s comments kindly, to say the least. The tweet quickly gained heat and currently has 977 retweets and 4.7k people tweeting about the comment.

People quickly noted that while Jericho called himself not a political person, he has donated $3000 to incumbent Donald Trump’s electoral campaign.

“Not a political person? Could have fooled me,” said someone not amused with the comment, while posting a statistical proof of Jericho’s donation to Trump’s campaign.

There were requests for him to actually research before commenting on the situation and claiming this is the first such election with counting delays.

“Is it strange that in a nearly unprecedented year, where all of ours lives have been upended, that it may take a little longer to know and verify the results of the election? No, not really. Every vote should be counted,” replied a fan…

…to which someone replied that even in a normal year, delays are a norm.

There were several humorous tweets to lighten the rather heated political discourse, like this one:

CELEBRITIES JOINED IN THE CONVERSATION AS WELL

Peter Rosenberg was rather critical on his view, as he attacked Jericho for forgetting the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. Incidentally, Y2J’s band Fozzy held a show during the pandemic and has been linked with a lot of cases since.

Sean Ross Sapp was more direct in his words.

MVP, the leader of The Hurt Business, went on to ask his former colleague to delete the post.

JERICHO IS ENJOYING A SUCCESSFUL RUN AT AEW

Outside of the controversy, however, Jericho is enjoying a fruitful run at AEW, where a storyline between him and MJF is continuing to evolve.
