Ed Sheeran, the renowned British singer-songwriter, has taken up Italian lessons. The motivation behind this unexpected endeavor? To impress his neighbors in Italy! Sheeran owns a holiday home in Umbria, central Italy, and after years of feeling “embarrassed” that he couldn’t communicate with fans abroad, he decided to learn the language.

After the Miami GP, Ed Sheeran had an encounter with Charles Leclerc where he asked Charles if he spoke Italian. In response, Leclerc affirmed that he did indeed speak Italian. Sheeran then inquired if Leclerc learned Italian upon joining Ferrari, to which Leclerc agreed. Leclerc further explained that since many karting races take place in Italy, he became acquainted with the language through his experiences in the country.

Schumacher’s continued success in the iconic Ferrari red undoubtedly left a lasting impression on the young Monégasque. While Ayrton Senna remained Leclerc’s idol, Schumacher held a special place in his heart.

Entering the paddock, Leclerc had the chance to meet the legendary driver. Schumacher took time to talk to the young karting enthusiast, signing their suits and engaging in conversation. Leclerc was awestruck by Schumacher’s red racing suit, never imagining that one day he would drive for the same red team.
