The celebrated ‘Rocky’ saga has always remained a treat to both movie and boxing fans, and in this third installment of the Creed spinoff series starring Michael B. Jordan, we will be enjoying the presence of the reigning undisputed super middleweight champion of the world, Canelo Alvarez.
Canelo’s participation in Creed 3 was revealed a day before his trilogy fight against Gennady Golovkin at the T-Mobile Arena last month. Michael B. Jordan , who stars as the protagonist and also serving as director of the film, announced that it was a pleasure for him to have directed it.
“Directing the legend himself Canelo in Creed III,” Jordan wrote on Instagram that time, “Can’t wait for the world to see on March 3. A star inside the ring and out, welcome to the family. Good luck this weekend.”
The Hollywood superstar was one of the luxury guests that Canelo had in his evening before the GGG trilogy. He gave Jordan the opportunity to enter the locker room moments before leaving the ring, and also accompany him as a luxury bodyguard to the top of the string.

Canelo was in the sights for Creed 3 for quite some time
In 2021, the media outlet Variety reported that Jordan, who plays Adonis Creed, had been seen with his entire production team in Canelo’s fight against Caleb Plant for the undisputed 168-pound crown. Without a doubt, at that moment the actor decided that he would include the Mexican in Creed 3.
This year, when the preview of Creed 3 came out, Canelo and his wife, alongside Jordan and Tessa Thompson, who plays his wife Bianca in the movie, posed for photographers on what appears to be a red carpet. So far, it is not known if Canelo will have other scenes in the film or if it will only be that moment that was presented in the trailer.
