WWE NXT 2.0 star Bron Breakker is the son of legendary pro-wrestler Rick Steiner. Breakker is one of the up-and-coming stars of the revamped version of NXT. The star has been ‘pushed’ immediately to the main-event picture since his debut in NXT 2.0. Team Old School (NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, Pete Dunne, LA Knight) will clash with Team New School (Bron Breakker, NXT North American Champion Carmelo Hayes, Tony D’Angelo, Grayson Waller) in WarGames match. This week on the go-home episode of WWE NXT before TakeOver: WarGames, he went up against the veteran Johnny Gargano in a ladder match to decide who would get the advantage in the WarGames. It was during this match Bron Breakker was disrespectful to Gargano as he came up with a middle finger salute to the former NXT Champion.
Bron Breakker shows middle finger to Johnny Gargano
During a segment that led to the match, Bron Breakker made it clear that his team would defeat Team NXT before he takes the NXT Championship away from Tommaso Ciampa. Tony D’Angelo fired some shots at Pete Dunne just to make himself feel part of the squad.
It was then announced that Breakker would represent his team in the ladder match scheduled for the main event. This brought out Johnny Wrestling, who took some shots of his own at Breakker and his men.
He ended his promo by asking Breakker to leave his team behind for the main event clash. Breakker then accepted Gargano’s demand to set up a clean match for later in the show.
Johnny Wrestling used tactical strikes to wear down his bigger opponent. He used the ladder and announcers’ table to take out his opponent and tried his best to win the match early.
Gargano hit Breakker with a few superkicks to cut him down to size. Before he hit a superkick, Breakker showed him the middle finger to fire him up more.
The final moments of the match saw Gargano hit Breakker with the briefcase in the face at the top of the ladder. Johnny Wrestling was pulled down from the ladder and Breakker hit a Military Press powerslam before climbing the ladder to retrieve the briefcase.
After the match, both teams took to the ring and a massive brawl broke out to end the night.
It was surprising to see WWE allowing Breakker to come up with that obscene gesture. Previously Charlotte Flair had also done a similar gesture. As it seems, WWE has some huge plans for Bron Breakker moving forward.
