It is not unknown that Batista is a fan of Asuka and he had previously raised question to WWE for their booking decisions after The Empress of Tomorrow lost a non-title match to Rhea Ripley last month.

Back in May last year, The Animal had called Asuka his hero after Becky Lynch relinquished the RAW Women’s Title to her.

Asuka was recently involved in a feud with Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair on the road to WrestleMania Backlash back in May.

Asuka has had a fine main roster run and her amazing undefeated streak had come to an end at WrestleMania 34 where she lost the SmackDown Women’s title match to Charlotte Flair.

When The Queen made her return at TLC last year, she had teamed up with her to capture the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships but their run as champions ended when they lost to the team of Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax.

Her run as the RAW Women’s Champion in 2020-21 was also not impressive and WWE was blamed for booking decisions. She dropped the title to up and coming star, Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 37 pay-per-view.

Asuka waa involved in the Triple Threat match against Charlotte Flair and WWE Raw Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania Backlash but was unable to reclaim the title as ‘The Nightmare’ successfully defended her championship gold.
