 Arthur Leclerc finishes the fastest in European Le Mans Series

During the second and final day of Prologue running for the European Le Mans Series at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, Arthur Leclerc made quite an impression. The Ferrari development driver and LMP2 newcomer piloted the No. 65 Panis Racing Oreca 07 Gibson to a blistering lap time of 1:28.254 during the four-hour morning session.

Notably, Leclerc’s time not only compared favorably to Ben Hanley’s afternoon session-topping lap of 1:28.493, but he was also a remarkable 0.725 seconds faster than the time set by Hanley’s co-driver, Marino Sato, on the opening day of running.

In the LMP3 class, Nick Adcock clocked an impressive 1:35.509 in the No. 15 RLR M Sport Ligier JS P320 Nissan, outpacing Cool Racing’s Manuel Espirito Santo by 0.242 seconds. These two drivers were the only ones to dip below the 1:36 mark on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Antoine Doquin represented Racing Spirit of Leman, and Adam Ali drove for Eurointernational. The No. 12 WTM by Rinaldi Racing Duqueine D08 Nissan, steered by Oscar Tunjo, also made its presence felt.

Performances of the day at Barcelona Catalunya

Other notable performances included Paul di Resta securing third place aboard the No. 23 United Autosports Oreca, followed by Ritomo Miyata of Cool Racing, Laurents Hoerr from DKR Engineering, and Tom Dillmann in the No. 43 Inter Europol Competition entry.

In the LMGT3 category, Davide Rigon of GR Racing led the way with a best lap time of 1:41.078 in the No. 86 GR Racing Ferrari 296 GT3. He was closely followed by David Perel in the No. 55 Spirit of Race FerrariAndrea Caldarelli secured third place behind the wheel of the No. 63 Iron Lynx Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2.

Daniel Serra (Kessel Racing) claimed fourth position, while Michelle Gatting completed the top five aboard the No. 85 Iron Dames Porsche 911 GT3 R..
