ALEISTER BLACK WAS RELEASED AS PART OF A MAJOR SET OF RELEASES

Black was released as part of a major cut, which also included Braun Strowman, Lana, Murphy, Ruby Riott and Santana Garrett. Shocked by the release, he tweeted a reaction, and later detailed his opinion on his time with the company via the twitch channel of Zelina Vega. In his reaction, he did not trash his former employer, instead thanking them for the opportunity provided to him.

WWE creatives are known to be hard to deal with, and often reluctant to accept ideas and recommendations from the superstars, with an obvious exception for the top-tier superstars and the veterans. Many former superstars have commented on the lack of success to put their ideas forward to the creative team to the company. On the other hand, at times the creative team puts forward certain ideas that are not accepted to be a part of the show.

PITCHES WERE MADE FOR BLACK WORKING WITH BROCK LESNAR AND THE UNDERTAKER

Speaking to another former WWE employee, Renee Paquette, on her Oral Sessions podcast, Black, who has now reverted to his pre-WWE Tommy End ring name, stated that the creative team once put forward an idea where he would be able to share the ring with The Undertaker.

“One of the cool pitches for me was that for a moment when I had that match with AJ, one of the things leading up to WrestleMania was that during the end of my match with AJ, The Undertaker appeared and helped me and saved me from the beatdown The Good Brothers gave me. One of the pitches was at WrestleMania, it was going to be the other way around. So, it was AJ and Taker, and one of the pitches was that towards the end of that match, the Good Brothers would come out or something to that extent, and I would be the one to help Taker,” he revealed, adding that he was ecstatic at the team even considering the option of his involvement at such a high profile situation.

Paul Heyman was a fan of Black, a fact that the latter had stated multiple times since release. One of Heyman’s ideas was either Brock Lesnar or Samoa Joe getting into the dark room where the character cut his promos and attack him to begin a rivalry.
