Adrien Broner had conquered four different weight classes during his prime, but the former world champion was on the run from a warrant in Ohio, which has finally put him in police custody but in a different state- in Kentucky. Details are scarce regarding the origin of his arrest warrant, but as reported by TMZ Sports, it stems from Broner sexually assaulting a woman at a nightclub in Cuyahoga County in Ohio a year back, and it’s linked to Broner losing the lawsuit.
It’s not the first time that Adrien Broner has found himself in trouble with the law. Last year, he was put behind bars after his failure to clear an $800k judgment for the sexual assault case. During that time, the boxer claimed he was not in a suitable financial condition to clear the amount.
Now, the cops found him away from the state of Ohio, where his case was originally registered. At about 1 am on Sunday, Broner was caught by the police and was taken to Kenton County Jail in Kentucky, but there isn’t any detail on how the law enforcement was able to capture the boxer.
