Anthony Joshua comes out on top once again. The IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO heavyweight champion of the world defended his titles with a vicious knockout against Kubrat Pulev, and with all the appraisals from the boxing world, Joshua gets a special admirer- Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Returning to the ring after one year after reclaiming his titles against Andy Ruiz Jr last year December in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia, Anthony Joshua showcased a marvellously dominating performance over Pulev throughout the fight and retained his belts with a vicious knockout in the ninth round, upping his record to 24-1, with 22KOs.
A much-awaited comeback performance from AJ has him garner appreciation all around, including Floyd Mayweather, who was a guest at The SSE Arena, in London.

Following the bout, Floyd Mayweather shed appraisal over Joshua from his victory to the overall brilliant progress of his career.
“It’s always good to see some great boxing,” Mayweather said in an interview with Sky Sports “the UK is a great place, so many great fighters. I am proud of Anthony Joshua, and it’s lights, camera, action.”
“He is one of the best heavyweights out there. Got a gold medal before. His career is going great, he is a hell of a fighter,” the former five division world champion added.
“Anything can happen in the sport of boxing, one shot can change it all. He is a great fighter, hell of a guy a gentleman and I respect his craft.”
As for himself, Mayweather is slated to make a return to the ring in a super exhibition fixture against Logan Paul on 20th February next year. He was last seen in action against Tenshin Nasukawa in 2018, while, the 43-year-old’s last pro bout dates back to 2017 to the historical fight against Conor McGregor.
