Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury: Fight set for Dec 18 in Miami

After months and months of back and forth added with verbal clashes between the two, Jake Paul and Tommy Fury are finally going to be settling the scores as the two are now confirmed to be facing each other inside the squared circle on 18th December in Miami. Two of the biggest celebrity boxers to come up in recent years, both Jake Paul and Tommy Fury have been featured previously on the same card on 28th August when Jake fought Tyron Woodley, with Tommy fighting Jake’s training partner Anthony Taylor on the undercard.

The report has come from SunSport, claiming that the fight is now going to be a reality, and that happens on the heels of English boxing promoter and Queensberry Promotions founder Frank Warren confirming last week that the much anticipated bout was already on the works.

“At the moment we’re working through the terms, we’re quite close and I’m hoping we can get it over the line. It’s a great fight for Tommy. It’s a very lucrative fight for him. Financially how can you not turn that down,” Warren spoke to IFL TV“I think he wins it. It’s captured everyone’s imagination, it’s all they were talking about out in the States. Hopefully we’ll finish it off this week and we can move forward.”

Tommy Fury initially rejected multiple fight offers from Jake Paul

The two are yet to cross each other in the ring, but Jake and Tommy have been going at one another for quite some time, from press conferences to the theatrics on social media and following the Paul vs Woodley event, the two had altercations in the backstage with the opposition’s group.

Following the incident, Tommy Fury revealed that he had turned down two offers from Jake Paul regarding the fight, including one worth a million dollars, claiming that they were ‘not worth talking about’.

The Love Island star, who is 7-0 as a professional, must win the fight against Jake to not have his name changed to “Tommy Fumbles” and retired from the sport by none other than his father, John Fury.

On the other hand, Jake Paul had claimed back in May that Tommy’s older brother and the reigning WBC heavyweight champion of the world Tyson Fury was ‘begging‘ to get Jake and Tommy to fight one another.
