Here’s why Teal Piper was spotted training with Ronda Rousey

Teal Piper, the daughter of WWE Hall of Famer Roddy ‘Rowdy’ Piper alongside her fiance and fellow wrestler, Michael Deimos joined Wrestling Inc. Managing Editor Nick Hausman on the recent episode of The Wrestling Inc. Daily podcast. She went onto discuss the time she had trained with former WWE Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey and spoke about her return to the squared circle.

Teal Piper comments on Ronda Rousey training with her

Previously, back in September last year, the former UFC star Ronda Rousey was sighted training with Piper and the fans began speculating about the former’s return to WWE, who has not been featured in the WWE programming since WrestleMania 35 pay-per-view.

Rousey is apparently very close with the Piper family, and during the podcast, Piper talked about training while recovering from her knee injury after being sidelined for six months. She said they all had decided to get together and shake off the ring rust.

Teal Piper recalled coming in contact with Rousey. She said that Rousey had moved to LA were Piper lived and they discussed about the knee injury as the former UFC star had sustained similar injuries in the past.

Piper said, “Yeah, that’s obviously how I came in contact with her. I was out in LA with him. She had moved out to LA. We started just talking after my knee was recovering. She had gone through many ACL knee surgeries, so she was discussing working on other things during my healing process.”

She said: “We were just wanting all to get in the ring get some dust off of us and train, so we found the one ring in LA that we could find. You gotta keep at it.”

Teal Piper on Rousey’s return

Ronda Rousey’s return has been on the cards for a very long time now. Her training pictures had been circulating and the fans assumed that she would return given the fact her contract with WWE is set to expire in this year’s April.

Teal Piper said that Rousey, always like to be shape and she would not speak on her return.

She said: “I can’t speak on Ronda’s behalf. You’d have to ask her, but she’s always been an athlete, and athletes like to train no matter what, so even if she has something major or just, you know, wants to keep in shape, who knows, but that’s a question for her.”

Teal and Deimos will team up for their first ever tag match together at Atomic Revolutionary Wrestling event on February 19th, 2021.
