Kayla Braxton expresses anger on Twitter
Kayla Braxton, who was on this week’s edition Monday Night Raw tonight instead of Charly Caruso took to Twitter and slammed the fans who were poking fun at her as she recovered from COVID-19.
She revealed how she had got a phone call and was informed that somone very close to her had passed away due to the virus and witnessing several Tweets poking fun at her, she felt disgusted.
Braxton said: “While I was at work tonight, I got a call that someone very close to me died of covid. And as I logged on to this platform tonight, I noticed multiple disgusting tweets tagging me to make jokes about me when I had the virus early this year. FU*K you.”
Kayla Braxton has test positive for coronavirus twice. The first positive case of coronavirus test from WWE was reported back in early April last year.
An on-air talent who worked March WWE Performance Center tapings and WrestleMania 36 had tested positive after going out to dinner with friends who worked in the healthcare industry. There is a possibility that report was Kayla Braxton’s first positive test.
When she tested for the second time in June, she wrote: “Was keeping it quiet but since everyone else is sharing, I feel like it is my responsibility to share this PSA: YOU CAN GET COVID-19 MORE THAN ONCE! I had it back in early March and then thought I was invincible after I recovered. Not true. Dont be dumb like me.”
Recent outbreak of COVID-19 in WWE
WWE recently announced that WWE Champion Drew McIntyre had tested positive for COVID-19. McIntyre addressed the fans on this week’s Raw and assured that he would still battle Goldberg at the Royal Rumble.
On latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer had confirmed that three more positive cases were recorder totalling to four cases including McIntyre.
Meltzer revealed that there was one case on SmackDown and that talent was set for the show but was pulled out. There was one case who was labelled as “a big star” that has now returned after testing positive and had gone through quarantine, also noting that there is one case in NXT as well.
