WWE have some huge plans in place as reports emerged that the company is planning to bring Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo for their Crown Jewel Show Premium Live Event in Saudi Arabia. Of course, Cristiano Ronaldo currently plays for Saudi side, Al Nassr and an appearance at the WWE show would be a massive sight to behold.
Cristiano Ronaldo could make WWE Crown Jewel appearance
Spanish outlet Diario AS has reported that WWE want the Portuguese footballer to be a superstar guest for the Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia which is set for November. WWE have already held multiple shows in the Middle East and this marked their fifth annual of Crown Jewel event.
It seems Endeavour wants to bolster Crown Jewel’s viewership and potential revenue by securing Cristiano Ronaldo’s appearance. It is worth mentioning that Ronaldo’s contract with the club runs for two-and-a-half years until summer 2025. He earns a total salary of €200 million per year. This equates to $213,553,000 per year, believed to be the highest ever paid for a professional soccer player.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner is having a great run in the Saudi side, already having 21 goals and seven assists in 25 games across competitions.
Many celebrities have appeared in WWE programming over the years including athletes such as Wayne Rooney, Floyd Mayweather, and Tyson Fury. The Premium Live Event takes place on November 4 and last year’s event took place at Al Nassr’s Mrsool Park Stadium.
We will have to wait and see what WWE has in store for the fans.
