However, it was later discovered that the pills he was purchasing were actually laced with fentanyl, a highly potent synthetic opioid.

Fentanyl, a synthetic opioid, is a staggering 100 times more potent than morphine and 50 times more potent than heroin. The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) warns that “one pill can kill,” emphasizing the lethal nature of this substance.
