Williams, the Formula 1 team, has faced a challenging couple of weeks due to two major accidents in just two races. These crashes have taken an “enormous” toll on the team.

Firstly, Alex Albon crashed his Williams car during the race leaving the team lacking of third chassis until Miami. Logan Sargent agreed to use the repaired chassis car of Alex Albon which he used at Australia due to the unavailability of a third chassis once again the team had another blow which left a huge impact on the team.

“The last two weeks have been tough,” Vowles told the official F1 channel. “I think, take any team, to have three major accidents where you pretty much take out all the equipment on the car is enormous.”

The two major back-to-back blows for Williams

In the Japanese Grand Prix, during the first practice session at Suzuka, Logan Sargeant, also driving for Williams, experienced a heavy crash at Turn 7. This incident raised concerns within the team, especially after Albon’s crash in the previous FP1 session in Melbourne.

As a result of these incidents, Williams made adjustments to their lineup. Alex Albon took over Logan Sargeant’s car for the remainder of the 2024 Australian Grand Prix weekend.
