Tom Brady paid his respects to his former head coach, Bill Belichick, after he left the New England Revolution after 24 seasons. Tom Brady played under the legendary coach and both of them were the major cogs in the New England Revolution’s dominance in the NFL from 2001 to 2019. 
Tom Brady hung his boots in 2022 after a 3-year stint with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Coach Bill heaped praise upon the legendary quarterback, with whom he became the most successful coach-quarterback pair. The pair came to the franchise together in 2000 and won 6 NFL Championships. They are undoubtedly the greatest coach-player pair in the history of the NFL.
Tom Brady gets emotional about Bill Belichick
In a conversation with Thomas Carrieri, Tom Brady was asked about what Bill Belichick did to bring out the best in him. Brady got emotional as he talked about how he came into the franchise with very little idea, and it was coach Belichick’s first year too. With regard to Coach Bill, he proceeded to say “Who’s gonna turn you into something, who’s gonna develop, who’s gonna take you under their wing… And obviously I had someone that really saw something in me.”

Tom Brady also posted a heartfelt message via his Instagram, expressing his gratitude to have played under the greatest coach. He posted “I’m incredibly grateful to have played for the best coach in the history of the NFL.”
In praise of Coach Bill, Brady added “He was a great leader for the organization, and for all of the players who played for him. We accomplished some amazing things over a long period of time, many of which will be hard to replicate. He worked every day to help us achieve the ultimate goal, in the ultimate team sport.”
Brady, however, considers Coach Bill’s ability to stay strong in the hardest times as the most respectable attribute. Brady comments “And, although we were successful, some of the greatest lessons I learned were in the moments where we faced the most challenging adversities. He set the tone for the organization to never falter in the face of adversity, and to do what we could do, and what was in our control, which was to go out and DO OUR JOB.”
At the end, Brady acknowledges the impact of Coach Bill on his career. He stated “I could never have been the player I was without you Coach Belichick. I am forever grateful. And I wish you the best of luck in whatever you choose next.”

It seems like Bill Belichick might try his hand at another franchise before he enjoys his retired life. No public announcement has been made yet by the 71-year-old legendary coach ever since he parted ways with the New England Revolution.
