Errol was undefeated before he faced Crawford. He boasted a 28-0 record and was the WBC, IBF and WBA (Super) Welterweight champion. He was considered a major contender to beat the undefeated Crawford. However, he looked very vulnerable in the bout, getting caught with a barrage of jabs and hooks. Post the loss, Errol activated his rematch clause.

Crawford has probably made it clear he’s not interested in the Errol Spence Jr. rematch anymore. Teofimo Lopez took a dig at Crawford and stated he only fought injured opponents, to which Crawford replied viciously.

Despite the overall details of the clauses being unknown, Terence Crawford’s tweet suggests he could pull out of the rematch or the rematch has to take place in a certain time-frame. Errol Spence Jr. will be out for at least a couple of weeks too. It would be interesting to see who Crawford fights next.
