With Nick Saban parting ways with the Alabama Crimson Tide, all eyes are on Jimmy Sexton, the renowned sports agent who is speculated to play a major role as Alabama looks for Saban’s replacement.
Jimmy Sexton expected to bring in Nick Saban’s replacement
Known as the man who “runs college football”, addressing Jimmy Sexton as one of the most prominent figures in the NCAA FBS may be an understatement. The Co-Head of Football and Head of Coaching as a Sports Agent for Creative Artist Agency, Sexton is the representative of several college football coaching figures, including Lane Kiffin, Kalen DeBoer, Mike Norvell, Steve Sarkisian, and also Nick Saban, who is making all the headlines right now.
Regarded as one of the greatest football coaches of all time, Saban dropped a massive shocker on Wednesday, announcing his retirement after spending 17 seasons at the University of Alabama and taking the team to six national championships.
“The University of Alabama has been a very special place to Terry and me,” said Saban via an official statement. “We have enjoyed every minute of our 17 years being the head coach at Alabama as well as becoming a part of the Tuscaloosa community. It is not just about how many games we won and lost, but it’s about the legacy and how we went about it. We always tried to do it the right way. The goal was always to help players create more value for their future, be the best player they could be and be more successful in life because they were part of the program.”

However, what has poked the interest of the fans is the arrival of Jimmy Sexton to the Alabama facility, in the wake of Saban’s departure. On Thursday, the agent was seen on the University campus, with speculations arising whether Sexton is in the talks of getting Saban’s replacement for the vacant head coach spot.

Needless to say, it is expected that as Saban, one of Sexton’s many clients, has bid adieu to the team, Sexton will bring in one of his other clients to fill on the head coach position of the Crimson Tide. One of the most probable candidates for the vacated spot is Kiffin- head coach of Ole Miss.
