Ultimately, Leclerc clinched fourth place, while Sainz settled for fifth. The stewards reviewed the on-track incidents but decided not to penalize either driver. Leclerc later demanded talks with Sainz to clear the air, emphasizing that their battle had gone “over the limit” during the Sprint race.
Leclerc vs. Sainz the Ferrari Battle for P4
As the lights went out at the Shanghai International Circuit, Leclerc and Sainz immediately locked horns. Their fight intensified with each lap, as they pushed the limits of their Ferrari machines. The duo touched wheels, leaving spectators in awe of their skill and determination.
Starting from seventh on the grid, Leclerc showcased his trademark aggression. He made daring overtakes, gaining positions and setting his sights on the top four. His precision and calculated moves kept the pressure on Sainz throughout the race.
Sainz, too, was determined to hold his ground. The Spanish driver defended fiercely, denying Leclerc any easy passes. However, some critics argued that he pushed the limits too far, leaving no room for error. Former F1 champion Nico Rosberg even called for a penalty, claiming that Sainz “didn’t even try” to give space.
