This maneuver came after Dunne had momentarily impeded Tsolov’s lap. Unfortunately, the swerve resulted in contact between their cars, causing Dunne’s vehicle to collide with the wall on the inside.
As a result, the stewards handed Tsolov a three-place grid penalty for this incident. Additionally, he received two license penalty points. Tsolov claimed that he wanted to make Dunne aware of his presence after being impeded by car #9 (Dunne). However, the stewards found that the swerve itself was an act of retaliation.
