If you ask any F1 team boss, which current driver would you want to sign to your dream team? The answer will most likely be Max Verstappen, the reigning Formula 1 world champion. However, Max has been a part of the Red Bull family and has a long term deal with the team that gave him his debut.
Since the past few weeks, Red Bull F1 team is going through a major shakedown. It started with Red Bull opening an inquiry against team boss Horner. After a long process, the inquiry was concluded and Horner was cleared. However, what followed it was nothing less then a movie.
One thing became clear that there are some major fault lines in the Red Bull paddock. And all is not well between the loudmouth Helmut Marco and Christian Horner. After a public statement by Max’s dad about the brewing trouble, it became clear that if this continues, Max might be looking for an exit.
Talking to the media about a move to Mercedes and his relation with Toto Wolff, Max stated that he is open to any opportunity in the future.
He said: “It doesn’t have any impact on me on what I would do. It’s always nice to hear that.”
Talking about his recent photos with Toto Wolff. He said, “Toto and I, we had our little moments but that’s normal between two teams battling for the championship. But the respect has always been there.”
He added, “From my side, it doesn’t change anything.”
Max Verstappen Intents to Finish His Contract with Red Bull
Max may have hinted that he is open to the possibility of joining a new team in the future. However, he also stated that he is committed to the Red Bull family and will like to finish his contract with the team.
