“Miami is her home. Her parents live here, her brother lives here, her niece and nephew, too. She doesn’t have any family in Spain. It’s a different environment from Barcelona,” said Ana.
Evidently, Shakira’s friends and fellow musician Alejandro Sanz, who is her ‘La Tortura’ duet partner, are making an effort to assure her to take her talents to the southern coast. The announcement took place after some weeks when Shakira declared the news of the breakup with her longtime boyfriend Gerard Pique with whom she shares two sons- 9-year-old Milan and 7-year-old Sasha, as Gerard was accused of disloyalty.
It was reported that Gerard was messaging other women privately including Brazilian model Suzy Cortez. He was also dating a 23-year-old public relations student named Clara Chia Marti secretly for months.

The Hips Don’t Lie singer did not pay her taxes between 2012 and 2014, during the time she was alleged to have been living in Spain, although she persisted that she was living in the Bahamas at the time of response.
Shakira has never had any confrontation with the law concerning her taxes according to her representative, who also stated that the singer is planning to prove her innocence once the matter has been given an official trial date.
“Shakira has always cooperated and abided by the law, demonstrating impeccable conduct as an individual and a taxpayer, and faithfully following the counsel of PriceWaterhouse Coopers, a prestigious and globally recognised tax firm,” her representative stated.
“Unfortunately, the Spanish Tax Office, which loses one out of every two lawsuits with its taxpayers, continues to violate her rights and pursue yet another baseless case. Shakira is confident that her innocence will be proven by the end of the judicial process.”
