Ronald Koeman is set to become the manager of FC Barcelona as reports suggest. FC Barcelona suffered a disastrous 8-2 defeat against Bundesliga Champions, Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter final. Following that, speculations began of the appointment of new manager after the sacking of boss, Quique Setien.
Barcelona eyeing Ronald Koeman as their next manager
An emergency meeting was called immediately by President,Josep Maria Bartomeu following the 8-2 thrasher to determine the future management plans of FC Barcelona. The sacking of Quique Setien was discussed. The shortlist of potential managers consisted the likes of Mauricio Pochettino,Thierry Henry etc. But, Ronald Koeman was the leading candidate for the managerial duty at the club.
Though no official announcement has been made by the club, Fabrizio Romano, the sports journalist confirmed on Twitter, the news of appointment of the Dutch manager, Ronald Koeman.

FC Barcelona have gone through tough times under the manager, Quique Setien. They not only surrendered the La Liga title to the El Classico rivals, Real Madrid but also were humiliated by Bayern Munich in a 8-2 affair, dumping them out of Champions League. Messi and brigade wants to redeem themselves the next season and the signing of Ronald Koeman could boost up the dressing room.

The 57 year old Dutch was appointed as the manager of Netherlands in 2018. He signed a four and half year deal along with the FIFA World Cup 2022. He succeeded Dick Advocaat to be the manager of the National team.
FC Barcelona are currently rebuilding their managerial structure. Lionel Messi would be keen about the Dutch manager’s arrival as they hope to challenge for the La Liga title and perform well in the European competition in 2020/21 campaign.
