WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio recently revealed that he underwent knee surgery. He provided an update on his condition and stated that the procedure was successful. He is now eyeing to take revenge on his former LWO teammate, Santos Escobar.
Taking to his Instagram account, he posted a picture and wrote:
“Knee surgery was successful 🙏🏼 @dugasmd1

This comes after what went down on last week’s SmackDown that took place in Columbus, Ohio. The show opened with Rey Mysterio and most of the LWO in the ring as the former US Champion reflected on his loss to Logan Paul at Crown Jewel.
Mysterio was dethroned by Logan Paul at the Saudi Arabia show and claimed the first gold of his wrestling career. Mysterio noted that he wouldn’t have lost if it wasn’t for Paul using the brass knuckles and vowed to get a rematch against Paul.
Carlito told Rey Mysterio that Escobar left the brass knuckles within easy reach of The Maverick and Escobar left the ring.
Later on, The Street Profits and Joaquin Wilde & Cruz Del Toro had a brawl at ringside while Lashley nailed Carlito with a Spear to pick up the win.
Santos Escobar returned to the ring to assist the LWO in their fight. However, when Lashley and the Profits started attacking Carlito, Escobar hesitated to lend a hand. Rey Mysterio then appeared with a chair and drove off Lashley and the Profits before berating Escobar for his inaction.
In response, Escobar attacked Mysterio. When he attempted to remove Carlito from the ring, Mysterio fought back by slapping Escobar in the face. A conflicted Mysterio then tried to help Escobar to his feet in an attempt to end the family feud. However, Escobar proceeded to take out Mysterio and ended up slamming the steel steps onto his leg, which was caught between the steps and the ring post.
