Red Bull simulator driver and Formula E champion Jake Dennis issued a warning to Lewis Hamilton and his hopes of maintaining a Formula 1 title rivalry with champion Max Verstappen.

Jake Dennis was a part of the team that developed Max Verstappen’s latest machine which will be put to test in the 2024 season. The confidence in the machine prompted Dennis to take a dig at Ferrari and Mercedes, and thus, Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton respectively.

Red Bull has developed a very fast machine for 2024

Jake Dennis is confident of Red Bull’s continued dominance

Jake stated “We’ve got an extremely fast race car again at the Red Bull team. I would expect us to become champions again, unless someone like Ferrari or Mercedes somehow manages to find about a second [per lap] overnight.

He also showed his confidence and trust in fellow driver Max Verstappen as he continued “I think it’s going to be quite a dull season in Formula 1 with Max probably dominating.

The last season was extraordinary for Max Verstappen as he won 19 of the 22 grand prix races. His Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez racked up 2 wins, increasing Red Bull’s tally to 21 wins out of 22 races. Carlos Sainz Jr. won the Singapore Grand Prix, making it 1 win for Ferrari. Lewis Hamilton failed to win any race for Mercedes.

Red Bull drivers Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez dominate

Referencing the dominance of Max on the tracks, Jake says that they was able to focus on building their RB20 machine for 2024 much before any other competitors would be thinking of. He stated “I’d be lying if I said we didn’t switch our attention to the 2024 car quite quickly.

He even adds that post the Singapore Grand Prix, which took place in September, they didn’t put in work for RB19 and had already started working on RB20 prior to the Singapore race. Jake mentions “We didn’t do any development on the 2023 car after Singapore.” There were 7 more races after Singapore and Max Verstappen dominated with 7 wins out of 7.

It is quite the positive news for Red Bull fans and the opposite for the fans of Lewis Hamilton and other F1 drivers. It might be another year of Red Bull’s dominance and the Bahrain Grand Prix on 2nd March is worth the wait.
