RCR star try to just laugh after unexpected end of his race after red flag

DUDE Wipes 250 NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Martinsville Speedway was truly a dramatic incident that unfolded during Stage 2. A missed shift by Brandon Jones triggered a 14-car pileup in turn one, causing chaos on the track. Fortunately, no one was injured in this Lap 71 accident, but many had to finish off their races due to the damage and one of them was RCR driver Austin Hill.

After the race, the RCR driver revealed that he fully went to the brake pedal as he wanted to stop his car as he didn’t have any room there mentioning the tight passes of Martinsville. He expressed disappointment over their restart like that at Martinsville where drivers had no place to go.

Austin has a sponsor for four Cup races from the upcoming race in Texas. Bob Posckrass asked about Hill’s next week Cup appearance. Hill expressed excitement and wished the beast for his great opportunity.

Aftermath of the huge wreck

Drivers who managed to continue in the 250-lap race included Hailie Deegan, Aric Almirola, Leland Honeyman, Jeremy Clements, Dexter Bean, Logan Bearden, Anthony Alfredo, Kyle Sieg, and Brandon Jones. The race was briefly red-flagged while the half-mile track was cleared, and ultimately, Aric Almirola emerged as the winner.

In the frantic final laps, a two-lap overtime restart led to a thrilling battle between Austin Hill and Sheldon Creed. Creed made contact with Hill, shoving him up the track, and Justin Allgaier capitalized on the chaos to secure the victory.
