The unified heavyweight champion of the world Oleksandr Usyk, who is speculated to return in August, is undergoing training that has never been seen before or at least not disclosed, which consists of a sparring session with not one, but two opponents at the same time.

In a recent photo posted on his Twitter account, the Ukrainian is seen in the squared circle against two fighters, along with the caption that reads “Hard work 🦾”.

At 36 years of age, “The Cat” Usyk is just one hurdle away from being the undisputed heavyweight champion, and that hurdle is Tyson Fury, provided that the WBC champ agrees to fight him and both parties reach agreements, but since they didn’t, Usyk has shifted his sights to other targets.

Oleksandr Usyk is set to face Daniel Dubois in August

According to Boxing Scene, Usyk is in the works to face Daniel Dubois on 26th August at the Stadion Wroclaw in Poland, where he would put his three titles: WBA (Super), WBO and IBF belts against the Brit.

Dubois, the WBA’s “Regular” champion at heavyweight, is only 25 years old and has a record of 20 fights, of which 18 have been won by knockout and he also has one loss. The last time “Triple D” stepped into a ring, he knocked out Kevin Lerena by unanimous decision, on 3rd December last year. It is understood that precisely for this challenge n August, Usyk is undergoing such difficult training which includes facing up to two rivals during the sparring session.

All that being said, the fight that all boxing fans are waiting for is Tyson Fury against Oleksandr Usyk, a brawl that would crown the four belt undisputed champion in the heavyweight division. Usyk has three of the titles, while the coveted green and gold WBC belt is under the possession of “The Gypsy King”.

While this remains the most anticipated fight in the division as of now, the WBC had ordered an elimination between Deontay Wilder and Andy Ruiz, to determine the mandatory rival, but talks regarding that fight have also made little progress.
