NBA Week 18 April 19 Results: Scores, standings, match summary and highlights

The first matchday of Week 18 of the 2020-21 NBA season has concluded and it’s time to take a look back at the scores and highlights of the matches and standings of the teams.

Pistons 109 – 105 Cavaliers

A 37-point first quarter proved to be effective for Detroit Pistons as Cleveland Cavaliers failed to catch up to the hosts at Little Caesars Arena.

Saddiq Bey and Frank Jackson both scored 20 points each for the Pistons, while Isaiah Stewart posted 18 points and 16 rebounds.

76ers 96 – 107 Warriors

Steph Curry’s record-breaking 49-point performance powered Golden State Warriors’ conquest of Philadelphia 76ers at the Wells Fargo Center.

Curry’s scoring spree was added with Andrew Wiggins’ 16 points and 10 rebounds while Kevon Looney clocked 15 rebounds. Joel Embiid posted 28 points and 13 rebounds.

Celtics 96 – 102 Bulls

A triple-double from Jayson Tatum was not enough for Boston Celtics to sustain the charge from Chicago Bulls at the TD Garden.

Nikola Vucevic led the visitors with 29 points and 9 rebounds, while Coby White scored 19.

Pacers 94 – 109 Spurs

San Antonio Spurs clocked .500 average with a victory over Indiana Pacers at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

Derrick White scored 25 points, along with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists coming from DeMar DeRozan.

Heat 113 – 91 Rockets

Miami Heat had a walk in the park against the struggling Houston Rockets as they trounced the visitors at the AmericanAirlines Arena.

Kendrick Nunn posted 30 points, while both Duncan Robinson and Goran Dragić scored 19 each. The youngster Precious Achiuwa clocked 11 rebounds for 8 points.

Wizards 119 – 107 Thunder

Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook had their usual 30-point performance and triple-double respectively as Washington Wizards powered over Oklahoma City Thunder at the Capital One Arena.

Beal’s score of 30 was added with Westbrook’s 13 points, 11 rebounds and 17 assists. Davis Bertans scored 21.

Bucks 127 – 128 Suns

A neck to neck battle that went into overtime saw Phoenix Suns edging out on a 1-point win over Milwaukee Bucks at the Fiserv Forum.

Giannis Antetokounmpo’s 33-point for the hosts was countered with Devin Booker’s 24 points, while both Deandre Ayton and Chris Paul landed double-doubles.

Nuggets 139 – 137 Grizzlies

Nikola Jokić’s 47-point double-double paddled Denver Nuggets to a close double overtime win over Memphis Grizzlies at the Ball Arena.

Jokić added 15 rebounds, while Will Barton scored 28. Ja Morant led the Grizzlies with 36 points, 8 rebounds and 12 assists.

Lakers 97 – 111 Jazz

The LeBron-Davis less Los Angeles Lakers succumbed to a loss in their rematch against Utah Jazz at the Staples Center.

Jordan Clarkson and and Joe Ingles scored 22 and 21 for the Jazz respectively, while Rudy Gobert clocked 14 points and 10 rebounds.
