AEW World Champion MJF has once again grabbed the headlines with an appearance outside of AEW. ‘The Salt of The Earth’ made his return to Create A Pro Wrestling Academy to the fans delight.
The current AEW World Champion hails from Plainview, New York. He made a name for himself in the Indies before joining All Elite Wrestling. He made his wrestling debut in Combat Zone Wrestling back in 2015 and then had a short run with Major League Wrestling in 2017. He made an appearance in WWE’s NXT in 2016 and finally ended up inking a deal with AEW in 2019. The current ROH Tag Team Champion remains to be one of the biggest superstars of the promotion, sitting at the top of his division.
MJF trained at the Create a Pro Wrestling academy back in the day and met the likes of The Acclaimed’s Max Caster and current TBS Champion Kris Statlander, who have also made their mark in AEW. The academy is ran by AEW producer Pat Buck and former WWE star Brian Myers. MJF’s last in-ring appearance for the promotion was back in 2019.
MJF surprises the fans
Recently, the AEW World Champion was once again spotted at an event by Create a Pro Wrestling Academy, Frostbite 2. A video clip of his appearance surfaced online as the Create A Pro Wrestling Academy Twitter profile shared it.
“SURPRISE @The_MJF #Frostbite2,” they posted.

This is not the first time he has made his comeback to the New York-based wrestling academy. Back in May, ‘The Salt of The Earth’ had also returned to the academy.
MJF will defend his AEW World title against Samo Joe
MJF is currently involved in a feud with Samoa Joe. An interesting angle is also being played out where The Devil remains to be a thorn in his side for months now. The true identity of The Devil is yet to be revealed. The AEW World Champion has had an incredible year and he will be eyeing to finish the year on a high note. He will put his AEW World title on the line against Samoa Joe at AEW’s final pay-per-view of the year, Worlds End on December 30.
We will have to wait and see if MJF can retain the title and head into the new year as champion.
