Following a subpar performance against the Golden State Warriors on Thursday night, Luka Doncic did not take it easy on himself.
The Warriors defeated Doncic’s Los Angeles Lakers 123-116 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California. Doncic had 19 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists on just 6/17 shooting. He was 0/6 on three-pointers but a perfect 7/7 from the free throw line. He hadn’t made a three-pointer in a game since April 7, 2023.
After the game, Doncic declared, “It’s unacceptable that I gave that performance.” “I need to figure it out because it’s hard to win when I play like that.”
Doncic even had a tough moment when Draymond Green stripped him in the last minute.
The Warriors were able to hold on for the victory by turning the ball over in such scenario.
Although Doncic had a poor game, it was probably an exception rather than what the Lakers should anticipate from him. He was shooting 41.5 percent and scoring 27.2 points per game on average going into Thursday. There is currently just one game between the Lakers and the Warriors.
