Liverpool

Jurgen Klopp’s side have been relentless, led by their talisman Mohamed Salah. The winger is on a scoring spree and is the leading goal scorer in the league this season.

The Reds were busy midweek and made easy work of Porto in the Champions League to seal the top spot in their group after 5 wins out of 5. Liverpool were pegged back a little from the top after their draw against Brighton and a loss to West Ham, across the period in these two games, they conceded 5 goals.

Injury concerns for the team lie in the form of Curtis Jones, Roberto Firmino, Harvey Elliott and Joe Gomez. The manager should have his first choice playing XI ready at his disposal.

Southampton

The Saints have been solid and rigid against the top sides, but are failing to claim wins. The club are languishing mid-table with 3 wins, 5 draws, and 4 losses.

They lost 2-1 to Norwich City last week on Dean Smith’s coronation at Carrow Road. Nathan Redmond should be a welcome addition after he was absent last week to attend the birth of his child.

Waging Odds: Liverpool (1.28) vs Southampton (10.00)  (Draw 6.00)

Liverpool are favourites and are priced at 1.28, meaning if you bet ₹100 on them and if they win the match, you’ll be making ₹128.

Southampton are priced at 10.00 and are the underdogs. Betting ₹100 on them will earn you ₹1000 if they come out as winners.

The odds for a draw are placed at 6.00 Betting ₹100 on it will earn you ₹600 if the match is drawn.

Our Prediction

Southampton got the better of Liverpool last season at the St.Mary’s stadium, but Liverpool have turned a corner and are arguably playing to the best of their capacity. Concentration and composure will be key for Southampton if they wish to come out with a point or more at Anfield. But, the rampant Merseyside team won’t be in a state to compromise and will be the runaway winners by a 3-0 margin.
