LeBron James trolled over failed Kobe Bryant’s special shot

In last night’s game between Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers, LeBron James garnered attention for his play, 30 seconds into the game. LeBron threw the ball into the board, hoping to get it in the hoop off the bounce, but he got blocked in the process and lost the ball. James was on a counter when he tried to pull this off and he might have pulled off 2 points if he went in for a normal dunk or layover.

Fans react to LeBron James’s Failed Shot

The moment has sparked the fans to troll him for being too old and thus questioning his athleticism. Some fans have taken to Twitter to criticize him for losing the ball and that his age has caught up to him.

Some other fans have, however, pointed out the similarity of technique. Putting the ball in the hoop off the board was one of Kobe Bryant’s signature moves. He regularly used this move particularly when blocked by multiple players. He used it to split them to move in and dunk or layover. He was well-known for using the board as a passing option when isolated. The fans have used this similarity to troll LeBron too with a particular fan posting “he thinks hes kobe.😂😂😂”

LeBron James still going strong

Moments before, LeBron moved inside the zone and glided past multiple opponents, before dunking the ball, proving his explosiveness even at 38.

Even though the Lakers lost 124-108, LeBron scored 25 points, had 10 rebounds, and assisted 9 points. This season, LeBron has averaged 25.2 points till now and is quite active and scoring.

LeBron was the Most Valuable Player of the NBA Cup held in between the season. Lakers won the NBA Cup beating Indiana Pacers 123-109. In the 7 games of the Cup, LeBron played an average of 30.7 minutes per game, averaging 26.4 points, 8 rebounds, and 7.6 assists per game. It’s quite certain LeBron is still going quite strong at his age.

However, with 4 losses out of 5 games since the NBA Cup, the Lakers and LeBron James must be trying to figure out a way to turn the tide.
