LeBron James, who has millions of fans across the globe raised eyebrows with his recent actions. He sparked controversy at his son Bronny’s first appearance post-cardiac arrest. To everyone’s delight, he made his presence felt at the basketball arena.

Lebron James was accused of disrespecting his nation
However, what grabbed the attention of the fans was the fact that the National Anthem was still playing when James took a seat. As a result, ‘King James’ went on to face allegations of disrespecting the nation, which led to a massive outcry. It was noted by the fans that instead of stopping, he kept walking in and found a seat. James faced backlash from his actions and the incident which was captured, spread like a fire on social media.
Colby Covington, who has built a reputation of being one of the best trash talkers in the top MMA promotion, decided to take matters in his own hands to lambast the 4-time MVP. ‘Chaos’ didn’t hold back anything and harshly criticized James.
Covington criticizes Lebron in the UFC 296 Media Day
Ahead of UFC 296, during the press conference, Colby Covington answered several questions and blasted LeBron James for being disrespectful toward the country. He further opined the LA Lakers superstar to leave the nation and travel to China. Here is what he stated:
“If you hate America so much and you don’t like this country that gave you a billion dollars, leave it or come deal with me. You go to China, go to these sweatshops that you employ all these laborers and use these women and pay ’em pennies on the dollar to make your millions. F*** you LeBron James. You’re a coward. You’re a spineless coward, and you’re a b*tch.”
Colby Covington is gearing up for the main event bout against Leon Edwards at Saturday’s UFC 296. ‘Chaos’ will be taking a shot at Edwards for the welterweight title. Notably, it has been over a year and a half since ‘Chaos’ made an appearance in the UFC. The last time he made an appearance was at UFC 272, when he locked horns with Jorge Masvidal.
Well, this isn’t the first time Covington has been critical of James. In the past, he had taken jabs at him as well. We will now have to wait and see how LeBron James reacts to Covington’s comments.
