LA Lakers are looking to get back on the winning way after their disastrous 130-112 loss to a poor Brooklyn Nets side. The Lakers are having a season they would like to forget soon, they are just looking like mere shadows of their past selves. The Lakers are nowhere near the level they were once and will be looking to bring in new players to improve their gameplay, solidify their defense, and improve their overall situation. Despite the concerning situation of the LA Lakers, certain Moves and tricks have brought joy and amazement to their fans and the entire NBA community. LeBron James and  D’Angelo Russell delivered another such moment against the Portland Trail Blazers.

LA Lakers Know how to kill on the Counter

NBA fandom knows how dangerous the Lakers are on the break and now the Portland Blazers know too. LA Lakers accounted for 19 fast break points in the first half. But the most eye-catching counter of them all was when LeBron pushed a loose ball on defense to D’Angelo Russel, who found himself alone without any of the Portland Trail Blazer players to stop him from securing points. D’Angelo Russel shocked everyone when instead of finding the hoop on his own, he decided to bounce the ball off the floor to LeBron James for a highlight Dunk.

Lakers coach Darvin Ham has been under heavy criticism from the Lakers fans for their below-average performance this season. Darvin Ham is just in his second year as a Lakers coach and the fans want him gone already.

“We can stop looking around” The LA Lakers coach doesn’t believe that they have to make any big trades

Fans want big names to be traded in and want the Lakers to get pretty busy at the trade deadline. But it seems Darvin Ham is against this notion and he believes that the LA Lakers have no reason whatsoever to make any big trades.

“Again, everyone keeps talking about, it’s that time of the year, I guess, but with the trade talks, and again, everyone understands in this business that, if there’s opportunities to get better, you’re going to do that,” Ham said. “But the reality of it is, we have what we had down the stretch last year, as well as more firepower and guys who are a year closer and experienced in playing with one another. So, yeah, we can stop looking around and just look at ourselves, look within ourselves. It’s a ton of excellent basketball that we can play and a ton of games that we can win with this group as it is constructed.”Per Darvin Ham via The Athletic

These comments from Ham have received backlash from the LA Lakers fans as they want to make the Lakers great again and with no changes to this team that seems a bit impossible. Darvin Ham may have limited time to materialize his vision for the franchise. Ham has to act quickly and deliver the results or else Darvin Ham’s future in the LA Lakers is looking foggy.
