Klay Thompson was at 2336 three-pointers before the game. LeBron sat at 7th with 2338 three-pointers. With the records in sight, Klay moved past LeBron with 3 three-pointers. The most eye-catching fact is Klay has achieved the feat in almost half the game of LeBron. LeBron has 2338 three-pointers in 1457 games while Klay has surpassed him in just 753 games. This solidifies his reputation as an elite shooter.

The Splash Brothers duo were however missing from the game with Stephen Curry rested for recovery. With Draymond Green out too, Klay was the spotlight of the Warriors lineup and he put up good numbers with 21 points, 3 assists, and 3 rebounds. However, the overall effort was thwarted by the dominance of the Bucks, spearheaded by Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Klay Thompson had a slow start to the season but he has been catching up. His current averages are 17.5 points per game, 3.6 rebounds per game, and 2.3 assists per game. He put up a classic performance against the Bulls in the last game. Klay’s next target in the three-pointer list is Kyle Korver, who sits at 6th with 2450 three-pointers.

The 129-118 loss to the Bucks puts the Warriors in a difficult spot in the points table. Currently, with a record of 18 wins and 21 losses, they sit in the lower half, at 12th, in the Western Conference. In the last 7 matches, they have a record of 3 wins and 7 wins. They broke their 2-match losing streak with a 140-131 win over the Chicago Bulls but the Bucks have made sure the Warriors drop points.

With Stephen Curry and Draymond Green returning to the court as soon as next week, the Warriors would look to perform at their best with the dynasty trio. The shaky start to the season and failure to improve till now has been a worry for head coach Steve Kerr.
