Keelan Harvick’s journey started at the GoPro Motorplex in Mooresville, North Carolina, where, at the age of seven, he fearlessly took the wheel of a go-kart. Since then, he has shown relentless determination, mirroring the tenacity displayed by his father throughout his NASCAR career. Keelan, aspiring to follow in his father’s footsteps, found success in junior-level series at the age of 11.

A recent entry by Keelan Harvick prompted his father, Kevin Harvick, to rush to the raceway to witness his child behind the wheel, showcasing the proud father-son bond and Kevin’s support for Keelan’s racing aspirations.

How did Keelan get behind the wheel?

At the tender age of seven, Keelan made his racing debut on May 20, 2020, at the GoPro Motorplex in Mooresville, North Carolina. He fearlessly took the wheel of a go-kart, qualified in the pole position, and finished eighth in his first race. Since then, this second-generation racer has been relentless, emulating the same tenacity his dad has displayed for nearly three decades in NASCAR.

Keelan’s passion for racing has led him to various circuits, including the X30 Junior series. Just recently in 2023, he clinched victory in the Legends Features race on Thanksgiving Day after winning another race at the Fayetteville Motor Speedway in North Carolina.
