The NBA offseason is always filled with trade rumors, player movement, and speculation. One name that has surprisingly not generated much buzz on the trade market is Utah Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson. Despite being the former Sixth Man of the Year, Clarkson finds himself in a peculiar situation.
According to a report by NBA Central (@TheDunkCentral) citing Andy Blarsen. The tweet reads:
“Jordan Clarkson is surprisingly receiving no interest on the trade market, per @andyblarsen. Clarkson, meanwhile, needs a bounceback season after really struggling with his efficiency last year. As of now, there haven’t been any other interested NBA teams in trading for his services.”

A Disappointing 2023-24 Season for Jordan Clarkson
Last season was a rollercoaster for Clarkson. He struggled with efficiency, averaging 17.1 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game. The Jazz, too, faced disappointment, finishing 12th in the Western Conference with a 31-51 record. Clarkson’s two remaining years on his contract, coupled with his $14.1 million salary next season, make him an intriguing trade candidate.
Lauri Markkanen’s Shadow
While Jordan Clarkson’s value remains stagnant, the Jazz have another player in the spotlight: All-Star forward Lauri Markkanen. Trade rumors have swirled around Markkanen throughout the summer, and August 6 marks a crucial date for him. If the Jazz decide to move on from their veteran talent, Clarkson could be collateral in a potential deal.
Utah explored trading Jordan Clarkson during the season but held off until the summer to assess his value relative to other players. Unfortunately for the Jazz, interest has been scarce. Teams seem hesitant to take on his contract, given his inconsistent performance last season. As the season approaches, the Jazz hope Clarkson’s value rebounds enough to attract suitors.
