AVEDISIAN HAS BEEN VIEWED AS A MAJOR PROSPECT SINCE 2023

Avedisian has been viewed as a major talent since last year, when she became the first female racer to win the National Midget Championship, that too at the age of 16.

Emerging from the youth racing scene in Fresno, California, Avedisian has made history by achieving unprecedented success in the male-dominated world of midget car racing. After dominating national quarter-midget championships at a young age, she climbed the ladder of success, accumulating numerous titles throughout her youth career. However, her achievements wouldn’t be confined to early accolades.

In 2023, she etched her name in history by becoming the first woman to win a national midget championship, shattering records and defying expectations. Her impact extended beyond individual victories, as she also secured a groundbreaking top-three finish in the prestigious Chili Bowl Nationals preliminary night.

KYLE LARSON WANTS THE YOUNG RACER TO STAY OUT OF PRESSURE

Kyle Larson understands the success that Avedisian has achieved, and while his praise of her is superlative, he wants her to not be pressurized, so she can keep learning and developing her skills as a racer.

“She’s young. So she’s got a long runway to keep improving and hopefully there is not much pressure on her or anything so she can just kind of be herself to learn and develop and get the experience she needs,” Larson said.

“I feel like she’s the best female that’s come up in quite a while in the dirt-track stuff. She’s got a very aggressive style and she’s fun to watch,” he added.

Avedisian, who signed a multi-year deal with Toyota Racing in late 2023, thanked Larson for his support on X.
